POEM#9
This poem relates to the Jainism principle of "Syadvaad".
Continuum!
Isn't everything in continuum?
Moments, places, people, races
Pictures, rythms, beliefs, isms!
Isn't the so called dichotomy
Of black and white, good and bad, right and wrong
All a fallacy?
The Illusions and the truths
The facts and the myths
The ideal and the real
Ain't all connected?
Isn't the rightness in right and wrongness in wrong
Just a probability?
Ain't these theories
Of do's and don'ts, rights and wrongs
A mere prophecy
Of the veterans?
Then why not customize our own truths!
And decipher the myths
Why not throw away the bigotry?
And carve our lives into a poetry!
Why to impose ourselves
Let all seek themselves
Their continuums!

Very well written Akansha. You know the universality of taking everything into two extreme ends might not work for all. Like Gender it is a spectrum not two ends of male and female. When we constrained things into ends, we might loose out important voices of the neglected or marginalized.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Things are not binary, they is rather always a spectrum with some values more concentrated at two ends which make it appear like a binary. There is a need for us to enhance our understanding of things to comprehend various layers and peculiarities.
DeleteGratitudes for reading and appreciating.
